Pre-Reg Practical Skills Workshop @ Huddersfield [Sun 18 May] [10am-4pm]

The Out of the Box Optics Team will be running an essential practical skills workshop, designed to ensure you are confident in your techniques. This seminar will be interactive, with an opportunity to practice key scenarios, as well a tutorial and demonstration of mock OSCE stations. Topics will include a choice of Amsler, Colour Vision tests, Visual Fields (Gross Perimetry / Confrontation), Motility, Focimetry, Direct Ophthalmoscopy, Stereopsis, Near Mallet Unit, Cardiff Cards, Contrast Sensitivity, and others (upon advance request).

We will also be hosting a differential diagnosis workshop.

A hot pizza lunch is included.

You will also have a guided tour of an exhibition where you’ll pick up plenty of freebies as well as a chance to network with leading industry suppliers.

PLUS: the seminar will finish with an expert Q&A panel.

No. This is focused on streamlining your patient interaction, measurement techniques and salient recommendations.

Does it matter what stage of Pre-Reg I am up to?
No. This workshop is aimed at ALL stages of qualification. The skills and competencies covered will encompass Stage 1, Stage 2 and the OSCEs.
