Online Workshop: CONTACT LENSES for PRESBYOPES [Sun 28th May] [7pm-8pm]
Presbyopic Contact Lens wearers can often be daunting to manage. This workshop will ensure a better understanding of how to engage with and serve such patients. We will outline the expectations that patients have, discuss the technologies at your disposal and teach methods to successfully deal with challenging situations.
Date: Sunday 28th May 2023 @ 7.00-8.00pm
Location: Online. Zoom details will be sent to you one hour before the class starts
Presenter: Param Kapoor BSc(Hons) MCOptom
Format: Around 45 mins of presentation, followed by an open Q&A session.
Is this just going to be lecture like uni?
No. This is focused on streamlining your patient interaction, measurement techniques and salient recommendations.
Is it a different topic each week?
Yes, a new topic with a different expert.
Do I need to have my camera on?
We prefer if you have your camera on. This is an INTERACTIVE workshop; and the job of an Optometrist involves interacting with the patients that we care for. If you’re naturally a shy person, then as the weeks go on, you’ll grow in confidence.
If I’ve missed a previous Weekly Workshop, can I still attend further sessions?
Absolutely! Each workshop will run as an individual, free-standing session. Sessions are not pre-recorded
Does it matter what stage of Pre-Reg I am up to?
No. These workshops are aimed at ALL stages of qualification. Even if you’re qualified and want to brush up on key skills, then you’re welcome to attend. The skills and competencies covered will encompass Stage 1, Stage 2 and the OSCEs.
