Are you on the pathway to becoming an IP Qualified Optometrist and would like to supplement your learning? Are you sitting the Therapeutics Common Final Assessment (TCFA) and not sure what to expect? Allow us to present a walk-through of the TestReach exam format, followed by a Mock exercise that involves 3 Case Scenarios, each unravelling as the scenario progresses. As this is an interactive session, discussion is encouraged and the session will conclude with a Q&A session.

About the presenters:
Karmelo Modina is an Independent Prescribing Optometrist and Clinical director of The Eyes On Broadway in London. He has a special interest in therapeutics and emergency eye care and his Optometry practices offer Myopia management, Ortho-Keratology, Scleral contact lens fitting and Blepharitis treatment. In addition to community optometry, Karmelo oversees patients pre and post-operatively within the Western Eye Hospital Cataract service and holds an associate lecturer position at Anglia Ruskin University. Karmelo has natural mentorship qualities and is driven to support early-career Optometrists in their professional aspirations and help to fulfil their potential.
Krupa Mistry is a highly skilled and dedicated Optometrist who has been working in the field since 2015. She completed her hospital pre-registration year at University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire (UHCW) and has since worked as a part-time hospital Optometrist at UHCW while also serving as a community optometrist in North Warwickshire.
In February 2024, Krupa started her new role as an Advanced Clinical Optometrist in Cataract and Cornea at St Thomas’. Her main areas of focus include enhanced services such as eye casualty, corneal, paediatrics, contact lenses, and cataract clinics. She has also been a principal supervisor for pre-registration optometrists.
Krupa’s dedication to her profession is evident in her continuous pursuit of further education and training. She completed the Alcon Scholarship in 2021 and has worked as a clinical supervisor at Aston University for three years. She is currently enrolled in the Doctor of Optometry program at Aston University.
Krupa has previously been a representative as a committee member on the Coventry and Warwickshire Local Optical Committee (LOC).
